Thus, amidst the whirlwind of life, ROHO emerged. It was truly a family endeavour: my husband proposing the Swahili name meaning soul/spirit, and my daughter serving as the muse. And most importantly, the creative process acted as a catharsis, giving me a sense of purpose, initiating a lasting legacy, and bestowing upon me the metaphorical medal I knew I deserved.
The outcome of this journey was a collection of impression jewellery made to commemorate a loved ones spirit. The beauty of the casting technique lay in the fact that each piece was crafted by hand, and symbolises a unique connection between two loved ones - No two fingerprints are the same.
Just like motherhood, ROHO is an all-encompassing journey, by getting you involved into the immersive process, and creating beautiful family heirlooms while you are at it!
