Important notes

  • A ring sizer is included in your kit to determine your finger size
  • Babies’ fingerprints take time to develop. Most can be captured from around 12 months onwards, although every child develops differently. Please see our FAQ for more guidance.
  • Selecting a silicone mould allows your impression to be recreated in future. Please note this option adds approximately 1–2 weeks to the standard lead time.
  • Due to ongoing fluctuations in precious metal prices, kits must be returned within 6 months so we can begin the casting process. Returns after this period may be subject to updated metal pricing at the time of casting, which may result in an additional fee.

Materials

All pieces are crafted in sterling silver or 9ct yellow gold.

Each item is individually made and finished to preserve the detail of your fingerprint or impression.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping is a flat R120 and includes your kit delivery, return collection, and delivery of your finished jewellery.

As each piece is made to order, we are unable to accept returns.

If your print is not suitable for casting, we will contact you first and guide you on the next steps. You may try again if needed, with a courier fee for the additional collection.

We use a trusted third party courier and cannot be responsible for delays or damage once parcels are in transit.

Dimensions

Small: 10 to 12 mm diameter

Medium: 12 to 14 mm diameter

Large: 14 to 16 mm diameter

All sizes are approximate, as each impression is handmade.

The final size and thickness can vary depending on how the wax is pressed. A firmer press will create a wider, thinner impression, while a lighter press will result in a smaller, thicker impression.

Care Instructions

Each piece is made from solid precious metals and designed to be worn and treasured for years.

To keep your jewellery in the best condition, we recommend removing it before sleeping, exercising, showering or swimming, and when using chemicals or abrasive materials.

Precious metals can scratch or mark with impact, and chains may weaken if pulled or caught.

A little care will help preserve your piece for a lifetime.

HOW OUR PROCESS WORKS

  • Step 1: Create Your Impression

    Order your ROHO heritage jewellery and receive an impression wax kit with a link to our instructional video. Follow the video guide to shape the wax into your desired fingerprint impression. Whether it's a single, double-sided, or a uniquely sculpted piece with multiple prints, the price remains the same.

  • Step 2: We Craft Your Jewellery

    Once your impression is complete, we’ll collect the kit from you. Using the time-honored technique of lost wax casting, we meticulously replicate your fingerprint’s contours and texture in your chosen precious metal. This process takes at least 14 days, but we promise it’s worth the wait.

  • Step 3: Receive Your Keepsake

    Your finished jewellery is delivered to your door, safely packaged inside a beautiful bamboo box. Your jewellery piece is a timeless keepsake and family heirloom to cherish forever. ROHO Heritage: Keep your loved ones close.
